Natalie is an orphan. As a child, she was chosen for the SPARTAN III program. She was made faster and stronger and harder to kill. Immediately following graduation, she was reassigned from Beta Company and assigned to missions as an independent operator.

She is a soldier, a pilot, and one of only two Spartans ranked "hyper lethal." She has been chosen to defend the human race and she takes that responsibility very seriously.

On 24 July 2552, Natalie is ordered to fill a vacancy in Noble Team, currently stationed on Reach. She is given the call-sign "Noble Six."
